First Year Students

Bachelor of Exercise Science, Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Health Science Degrees

Thanks to all those students who attended the last Challenge event. We hope that you gained some important information regarding feedback and that you enjoyed the pizza and quiz! Primoris humanus vita scientia challenge will conclude at the end of semester 2 with a final Challenge function and the presentation of the Challenge shield to the winning team.

The leaderboard has been updated - check the Leaderboard to see how well your team is doing. "The Body" and “#1 tree f’tang” now share the lead but a number of teams are in a position to win the Challenge. At this stage, in fact, any team can still win the 2008 Challenge!! For those teams near the bottom of the ladder – be aware that there will be other prizes awarded on our final Challenge day which you may be eligible for!

Keep an eye on your group Discussion Boards in CXA172 Anatomy and Physiology as points are being awarded for discussion postings to these boards.  A final quiz challenge will also be posted to these boards after the mid-semester break.

Meanwhile... keep checking the first year HLS website and the CXA172 Discussion Boards. We hope to see you all at the final Challenge event in October.

Welcome

As your First Year Co-ordinator, I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions (and answers!) that are often posed by first year students. You can access them from the First Year Resources area to the right. If you have any issues that have not been explained in the FAQ, then have a look through the 'Where to find help & information' guide, or feel free to contact me.

Enjoy your first year!

Regards,
