This combined degree has been designed for those who wish to become teachers or to gain a teaching qualification as an adjunct to their health science degree. Graduates meet the requirements of Education Department of Tasmania for employment as teachers. Graduates will be prepared to work in the areas of Health Science, Health Education and Technology (Food Studies).

This four year combined degree is taught by the School of Human Life Sciences and the School of Education in Launceston. The course is available full time or part time.

Year 1 consists of units from the Bachelor of Health Science degree that provide a foundation in human life sciences and health.

In years 2 and 3 students undertake further units from the Bachelor of Health Science along with studies in Education, including practical components.

Year 4 is based in the School of Education and includes professional studies along with school based placements.
