If you are a student without a TCE science background, or alternative entry or mature age student returning to study, Biostart will provide some science study skills and basic principles of chemistry. It is designed to introduce students to the subject matter and culture of teaching and learning that they will encounter in the School of Human Life Sciences.
Summer Semester (Sem 3) 16 February 2009 – 19 February 2009
Summer semester enrolment in CXA001 Biostart is available ONLY to those students who have been offered a place in the Bachelor of Human Movement or Bachelor of Health Science or Riawunna students. You can enrol in this unit when you accept your offer.
Winter Semester (Sem 4) 6 July 2009 – 9 July 2009
Winter semester enrolment in CXA001 Biostart is available ONLY to those students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing. Biostart will be offered in Launceston, St Vincents, & Rozelle in winter semester. Biostart will provide science study skills prior to commencing CXA107 Fundamentals of Bioscience in Semester 2.
