Biomedical Science Presentations

StarOn Thursday evening 5 June the final year Bachelor of Biomedical Science student presentations were held giving students the opportunity to showcase their work resulting from professional placements.

Presentations consisted of posters of case studies from all students and oral presentations by Rachael Littlejohn, Annalise Harvey, For Hae Ng, Le Ma and Maree Savage.to staff from Human Life Sciences and representatives from Pathology laboratories throughout the State.

Due to the exceptional standard judges had a difficult time in choosing a winner, however “The Best Oral Presentation prize” of $250 was won by For Hae Ng with his case study of “A case of Dengue Fever in an SLE Patient”.   Kong Soon Yow was awarded the $200 prize for the best poster on “Dengue Fever” and the prestigious DSPL Prize for “Best Overall Student in the first three years of Bachelor of Biomedical Science” was awarded to Rachael Littlejohn.  Prizes were kindly donated by Diagnostic Services Pty Ltd and Launceston General Hospital.
