Bachelor of Biomedical Science Forum

Heart iconThe Bachelor of Biomedical Science Forum for 2009 was recently held with the title; “Perspectives of Medical Science.” Students were fortunate to meet, listen to and ask questions of three past graduates of the course who have forged very different career pathways.

The guest speakers were:

  • Sarah Foster, a medical scientist in the microbiology lab at the Launceston General Hospital,
  • Matthew Brumby, a supervising scientist from QML Pathology, Queensland, and
  • Brad Wray, a medical student at UTAS about to graduate and embark on a career in medicine.

Each of the presentations was excellent and it was interesting to hear about and discuss potential career pathways, individual perspectives of the profession and of the various job opportunities currently available.
